      • Infertility,
      • Post Natal Depression
      • Anxiety
      • Depression
      • Fibroids,
      • Polycystic ovaries syndrome,
      • Low hormone levels,
      • Ovarian cysts,
      • Endometriosis,
      • Unexplained weight gain,
      • Hot flashes and
      • PMS
      • Adrenal Fatigue
      • Migraines
      • Fibromyalgia
      • UTI just to name a few.

In addition let’s not forget the women that have experienced sexual traumas as children or adults, having nowhere to turn to, hiding their pain, hiding their shame, hiding their hurt and vulnerabilities of the worst thing that has ever happened to them.

Too often women are treated like these issues are all in our heads. Doctors often ignore what we feel because it can not be seen or explained. The hidden scars of the past affect the present moment, manifesting themselves in so many ways.

Others tell us it is nature’s way or that we need to get over it. Family and friends find it difficult to know how to support each other through grief, loss, and trauma. We learn to silence our pain, to hide it away so others do not feel so uncomfortable. In the process, we learn to lose ourselves in the mundaneness of life. Never really fulfilling our true potential, we move under the radar so that we don’t kick up the sediment and muddy up the waters. We suffer in silence, with no voice and no way to find our way out.

We have lost our sense of community and our elders to show us the way. For far too long we have been taught to ignore the many messages our body is sending us. The wisdom we hold within in our own womb, calling to us asking us to come within, to sit, to see, to witness what we push away, afraid that it will consume us. Our body is in constant communication with us, telling us when we are out of balance with our natural cycles when we are out of balance with nature itself. We have forgotten how to stop, how to sit in silence, and how to listen.

The suppressed trauma and unresolved grief stemming from sexual trauma, miscarriages, abortions, and not being shown how to move into our womanhood are affecting our day-to-day life. We have hidden our pain, and we move through life struggling to keep up with the demands of being superwoman – juggling relationships, families, work/careers, a home, and most importantly our health issues. We feel guilty for wanting time out or a few minutes to ourselves, always putting everyone else’s needs before our own and leaving our emotional and physical fuel tanks empty.

As a therapist for over 20 years, I have observed the many issues that women experience as they move through the varying stages of life. From child to teenager, from adult to mother, from mother to the elder crone. I have observed through my own life and those around me the impact of not being guided and supported through these transitions. Being a woman that has experienced the loss of both parents, followed by sexual trauma at a very young age, fertility issues, miscarriages, caesareans, an abdominal hysterectomy and the onslaught of instant menopause, the loss and grief of losing my womanhood, I spent many and finding myself again through many journeys. I recognize the fight and the suffering many women are experiencing every single day.

I consider myself one of the lucky ones, I was fortunate enough to have strong women, step into my life at varying stages, to mentor and teach me in their way, through their experiences, to become resilient. Reclaiming my lost womanhood, embracing my Sacred Womb Wisdom, and maternal ancestral lineage, they guided me to become who I am today.

With this in mind, my dream when developing Wombology was to strike a chord of recognition, a re-remembering that we belong to a tribe called women. We are a sisterhood of individuals that share the gift of being powerful creators that birth the world into being. Through our children, our projects, our acts, and services, our families and communities we build our tribe.

In making your way here my dream is that you will be inspired. Remember you are worthy of nurturing, you are worthy of being taken care of, you are worthy of the healing you so deeply desire, you are after all woman; you are the creator of all reality.

Our workshops, classes, and a range of products, support women on their journey to greater self-acceptance and appreciating their magnificence, remembering they are worth nurturing on all levels; body, mind, and spirit.
